Hello Families of Room 430!
My name is Mark Petritsch and I am the student teacher teaching alongside Mr. C this year. I am so excited to be able to learn with your students as I continue to work towards my teaching certification. I am looking forward to your hawk learning a lot and I feel so grateful to be a part of that process here at Hiawatha Elementary. A little about myself: I grew up in New Jersey and moved to Michigan right out of high school to work full-time for a youth ministry in Detroit. Then, I decided to move to Lansing to go to college and eventually chose to pursue teaching as a career. I started out at Lansing Community College and then transferred to Michigan State where I recently obtained my bachelor’s degree this past May. I am now working towards getting certified in Elementary Teaching with a focus in Social Studies. I love teaching and I am passionate about helping others think outside the box, challenge their understanding and to learn just as much about themselves as about the important subjects in school. I also love to learn myself and I know that there will be a lot for me to learn as well this school year. I am thrilled to be a part of your hawk’s learning journey and I look forward to getting to know you and your student! |
