How do animals help with our work?
"On ranches dogs help herd cattle and sheep." Dogs have helped people with their work for centuries, and they continue to do so today. Dogs pull sleds across the arctic, guide people with disabilities, and even track scents to help find people in search and rescue operations. Dogs can be trained to help people in may other ways too. They guard and protect people and they can be trained to use their sense of smell to detect a variety of things. Because of their cooperative temperaments, which makes them trainable, their perseverance, which makes them keep going and going. and their bravery, which make them pretty fearless, dogs are great helpers.
This week you will learn that animals can be happers. You will learn about the jobs that animals do to help people.
